“ Look coming here for individual hot pots. I came with a pretty big group and they accommodated for us by joining tables. The service was fast and friendly. The food was really flavorful and you can add some condiments too. ”
“ I got the kimchi dumpling soup with a medium spice level, and it was delicious as always! The soup was flavorful, and the spice was just right. I love how it comes with so many tasty ingredients, like shrimp, fish cake, rice cake, and many more. Each bowl also comes with either a side of rice or vermicelli, and this time I went with rice. The service was great, and they had fun music playing in the background. Can't wait to come back again! ”
“ Such a staple in the Bay Area! Parking can be hard in this plaza but will find out eventually lol service is always so nice ! Turn up the heat and get ready to enjoy these individual pots for around $20 each at @tastypot.usa . Whether you're all about that spicy kick or craving a rich, comforting broth, they've got a bubbling hot pot with your name on it. Don't forget to also order some tea and appetizers to share! And of course, more broth! (iykyk) ”
“ We've visited Tasty Pot a couple times over the past few years and I'd say that this a pretty reliable spot for some Taiwanese hotpot. Came here on a Sunday a little past noon as a group of 2, and we waited about 10 minutes. Located in a mall with a bunch of other places like H-mart, Yi-fang boba, and 85C Bakery, it's a super convenient location! We like to go grocery shopping at H-Mart before/after getting lunch here. ~The Food~ - As with many other Taiwanese hotpot places like Boiling Point, they give free green tea during lunch hours! - Beef Hot Soup (Mild Spice, with Rice): My usual go-to order; The broth was hot, flavorful, and came with a good amount of beef! I always leave with leftovers. I love their broth, and they always offer to refill the broth when the soup gets a bit dry. - Green Peppercorn Fish Soup (Medium Spice, with Instant Noodles): This was our first time trying this! Might have been a limited menu item as I believe it was mentioned that this was their winter special flavor. We really enjoyed it! The fish was very tender and the green peppercorn broth made a very nice mala style flavor. - Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken: Nothing too special, but pretty good! I'd say the breading felt a little thicker than we're used to but the flavoring was nice! ~overall~ - Service is always fast, efficient, and nice! - Prices has done gone up a bit over the past few years, but nothing out of the ordinary and it's pretty consistent with other Taiwanese hotpot places. ”
“ There aren't as many of these types of individual Taiwanese hot pot places in the area anymore, so I'm glad Tasty Pot is still around! The shopping plaza Tasty Pot is in has a lot of businesses including H Mart, so it can get pretty crowded. Nearby street parking is available if need be, but I don't find myself having to do that too often. Easy ordering system--scan the QR code on your table, submit your order, and wait for your food! My go-to orders are usually their Beef Hot Soup or Japanese Miso Hot Soup. They used to have a Tomato Hot Pot, but it looks like they took it off the menu, so I'm sad about that! All of their hot pots are loaded with a huge variety of ingredients (I count about 17-20!). You can choose either rice or vermicelli along with your spice level (none to flaming spicy). There's a fire underneath, so your hot pot stays piping hot throughout your meal. They also have some sauces on the table and little cups for dipping. Service is straight to the point, which I don't mind because I'm there for the hot pot! ”
“ If you're a fan of flavorful hot pots and exceptional service, Tastypot is a must-visit! Located in San Jose, this cozy spot serves authentic Taiwanese hot pots for both lunch and dinner, and it didn't disappoint. We tried the Seafood Lobster Hot Soup and the Kimchi Dumpling Hot Soup, both of which were packed with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. The bubbling pots featured delicious add-ins like lotus root, roe fishball, chicken wings, and vermicelli, creating a perfectly balanced and hearty meal. For drinks, we ended with Mango Green Tea and Taro Milk Tea, both of which were absolutely refreshing and the perfect way to cool down after the hot pots. I particularly loved both drinks--they added a sweet touch to our savory experience. As someone who avoids pork, I was thrilled that the staff took the time to suggest alternative broth options for me while accommodating my partner's preferences. Their attention to detail and willingness to cater to dietary needs really stood out. Pro Tips: * Visit during lunch hours to enjoy a free green tea with your meal! * Don't hesitate to ask for free broth refills to keep the flavors going--it's a great way to make the most of your hot pot experience. ”
“ Love this location! The food comes out super quick and the servers are very attentive and ask if you need more soup. I always get the beef soup, but my friends have gotten the others and like them as well. It comes with additional side carb (rice or noodles), as well in the soup itself. They give a good amount of meat and fish balls, as well as a lot of cabbage. The popcorn chicken and takayaki is also crunchy and good. There's a yelp kiosk to check in outside the restaurant. They don't take reservations. ”
“ I came here on a drizzly afternoon for lunch with a friend. Perfect weather for hotpot and I was looking forward to catching up. We were seated right away and ordered our items from the QR code. Everything came out quickly and was great. I got the thai tomato pot, extra spicy (my usual order) with rice. My friend ordered the beef pot. I love the variety of meat and veggies in the pot melding together in one yummy meal. The service was somewhat lacking - they basically bring out your pot and any other items then leave you alone. It took us a while to get someone to get us some containers and the check. Since the food is good, I'll just keep going back. I've also ordered take out many times and it's always a good meal. ”
